Help my train & stable a horse
Both the American riders and American horses are schooled and trained in a different way than their Dutch counterparts, which is also reflected in the nature of the disciplines present in sport. Whereas Dutch equine competitions are about speed and height features mainly objective measurements, the American shows revolve around the riding style and the horse. A fundamental distinction!
You may well notice the difference when you try out a horse or watch a video of one in the Netherlands. At times it can be difficult to make a good assessment of the horse’s aptitude for the American show ring. While your goal might just be to have fun in the sport and instantly obtain good results.
We are happy to help in such instance. To close the gap between two worlds we offer boarding and training services, introducing the horse to the American training method and possibly even letting it gain experience in the hunter classes. This includes familiarizing the horses with the Forward Riding System, a consistent rhythm, good balance and simple lead change. Our aim is that after a training period at HFH, a combination is immediately ready to enter the show ring.
How does we work?
When you are the registered owner of a horse, we can train the horse for both the short term and a longer period of time. The recommended time frame varies and depends on the age and current level of the horse, although we recommend a minimum of four weeks. Boarding for delayed export or quarantine is also possible.
What does is cost?
Stabling including training costs €1.250 per month at the stable of H4H. Training and stabling at BBN is always at your own risk.
